SBDC

The Penn State Small Business Development Center (SBDC) puts a wealth of business consulting knowledge and experience within your reach. The SBDC offers free seminars, low-fee courses and individual consultations, designed to help new businesses and growing businesses make critical decisions.  

Located at Innovation Park and serving Centre and Mifflin counties, the SBDC consults with aspiring and new business owners who are asking themselves questions like:

  • Is my new business idea feasible? 
  • Should I purchase an existing business? 
  • Is it worth it to invest in growing my existing business? 

Established in 1997, the Penn State SBDC is one of eighteen such centers in Pennsylvania, and one of more than 1,000 centers nationwide.  When you give them a call, you are tapping into a pool of experts and resources that spans the country.

Their knowledgeable Penn State staff, faculty, and students serve as consultants. They also have access to a pool of off-campus consultants who can assist you.
